  1. THIS HAS BEEN RUNNING FOR ABOUT A MONTH AND IS WORKING WELL.

    By Gary7678 January 11, 2015

I had a problem in the beginning, pump running, but no water. I had used 1/2 inch poly, which was a very loose fit for the barb on the pump. So when I had pulled the pump I found that the pipe had blown off. So my fix was to use 1/2 pex tubing. I just used a short piece then adapted the pex to 3/4 inch iron pipe. There I put a check valve. Out of the check valve I put the proper hose barb for my poly pipe. I also put a sock (type used for French drain pipe) over the pump to keep the sand out. Power is from 4 - 6 volt golf cart batteries and 2 - 100 watt panels wired to 24 VDC. All this pumps water into a 55 gallon drum, inside the house. I have a level control in the barrel to control the pump. I have another small pressure pump pumping from the barrel to my cold water facets. This has been running for about a month and is working well.

  2. SO FAR SO GOOD

    By Ish2014 January 09, 2015

So far as I could find, this Chinese made pump is about one quarter of the price of its American made rival. I've only had it running for a few days, so I can't say how long it will last, but so far so good. It pumps at least 1.6 gallons/minute, if not closer to 2, at least with very little lift, perhaps 10-20', which is what I've been pumping. I've even tried strait it directly to low pressure irrigation, and it waters garden beds straight from the pump.
I'm running it from two 100W 12v panels, wired to 24V.

Good mid-range pump for pond circulation. All have worked well. Can connect directly to 250W solar panel.

  5. I recommend that you buy based on my experience

By James Dismukes December 23, 2014

For the price I decided to give it a chance. Hook it up and it worked for about 3 days then froze up. Thank goodness for contacting Baco, they sent a new pump to me and it worked really well.
I recommend that you buy based on my experience. The service is very good.
